Nice antique gold filled locket pendant necklace. Victorian - Edwardian era; circa 1900 - 1910s or so.

Rich slightly rose gold color gold filled locket and long fancy "Y" shaped chain. Two-sided locket can be worn two different ways. One side has fancy script or font with monogram or initials. The other side is more plain with a simple engraved border and light vertical lines and small rectangular design in the corner. I love the octagonal shape of this one. It's a nice size at about 1.25" or slightly larger (about 36 mm long x 27 mm wide approximately).

The long "Y" chain is awesome - I love the fancy long "stations" or details within the chain. It's kind of like an old watch chain with a clasp on the locket end for easy removal. The design is slightly offset with just a few extra or fewer links on either side making it not perfectly symmetrical but not distracting. Total length is about 26" long approximately. No markings on clasp. Some tarnish and patina to the antique chain. It looks to be gold filled. The old clasp is dark and shows finish wear.

The locket has old photographs inside. Locket shows some surface wear and scratches and aged patina. Neat old necklace!
