good The Red Prayer plant …..this is the plant that is said to “pray” with you …ie the leaves move upwards as if in a praying motion at night …

It is said to bring luck to anyone who possesses it….I have two myself. In all seriousness, this is a stunning plant, with a great story and would make an excellent gift during this Holiday season.

It's a tropical hanging plant, this one is roughly 18-22 inches long, large, full, lush, exotic and very healthy.

They do exceptionally well in low light and are sure to turn heads in your home.
It can stay in the basket or be repotted and allowed to trail over the sides.

What makes this plant so special and one of my absolute favorites……the leaves move almost as if the plant is praying with you …hence the name. They bend upwards on the sides towards the sky at night.

“The best thing about the plant is its ability to “pray.” This is called a nastic movement and is the plant's response to light. During the day the leaves are flat, but at night they move upward as if praying to the heavens. This also allows the plant to conserve moisture at night.” - Garden Magazine

A tropical plant native to Brazil, red prayer plant is a popular and attractive houseplant. Its scientific name is Marantha and the variety is ‘Erythroneura,' which means red veins in Latin. The red veins are in a herringbone pattern, giving rise to another of the plant's names: herringbone plant.

You will NOT be disappointed on this one …..every home should have a Prayer Plant.
This Plant is tropical but will do fine indoors in low light in any climate.
