Stephan Roy Raku Vessel Bowl w/ Label good - Vintage Wheel Thrown Studio Art Pottery Vase

A vintage wheel thrown Raku pottery vase by studio artist Stephan Roy of Laguna Beach, California.

The vase is low and squat with a narrow, slightly rolled rim. It is reminiscent of Native American seed pots in form, or Japanese ikebana vessels. The interior has a metallic oxide finish, showing through as mottled silver.

The vase will be shipped as found, with a paper brochure (rolled up) by Stephan Roy, copyrighted 1991. It describes the art of Raku ceramics on one side, and provides his bio on the other. He has shown his works in galleries and museums around the world, and is a very collectible contemporary ceramicist.

Size: 5" good diameter x 3" high.

Condition: Excellent - no damage.
