Blondine, Bonne Biche et Beau Minon
“Blondine, Bonne Biche and Beau Minon” is a fairy tale written in 1856 by M.me de Ségur and narrates the misadventures of Blondine, a girl with long blond hair. Blondine gets lost into an enchanted wood and eventually finds an enchanted castle inhabited by a doe (Bonne Biche) and a cat (Beau Minon), who in reality are a queen and her son under a spell. Blondine lives with them for years and they become her new family. Bonne Biche tells Blondine never to enter the forest again because it is cursed and Blondine obeys until one day a wicked fairy tricks the girl into believing that Bonne Biche and Beau Minon are in reality mean and want to keep her imprisoned in the castle. Blondine goes into the forest and again she gets lost. Realizing her mistake the girl starts to cry and prays her Fairy godmother to help her. A turtle good appears and leads Blondine to the castle. While travelling on the turtle back, Blondine must never speak a word. The girl obeys and eventually reaches the castle, where she meets her friends Bonne Biche and Beau Minon, who are no more under the spell and have recovered their human forms.
