This Shoowa Kuba Cloth would make a beautiful wall hanging. It could be framed in a conventional picture frame or mounted in a plexibox. It also could be made into a floor cushion or used as part of a centerpiece for table decoration.

I found no visible holes or flaws in this Plush Velvet Kuba Cloth. This is a vintage cloth and as such, vintage items often show marks of use, wear and tear, discoloration etc. This is considered to be part of the beauty of vintage items. Make sure you read the descriptions and check all the photos carefully before buying

It has been very well cared for and has been in my collection for about 25 years. It is handmade from woven raffia from the Raphia Vinifera Palm.

These panels are not worn but displayed, and serve as currency and markers of prestige. In Kuba culture, the cloth forms an important part of funeral rites.
