Junk Journal: good Herbs

This is a very sweet small journal measuring 4.5" x 6" with a 2.5" spine. It contains three 12 sheet signatures for a total of 144 pages.

The cover is from the book, A Concise Guide to Herbs, published in the 1970s. The pages are nicely aged and I've used several pages from the book in the center of each of the three signatures. The book is beautifully illustrated with detailed descriptions of each herb and I juggled the pages to make pockets and journaling space while providing facing pages of the description of each herb facing the full page illustration.

There are a variety of papers used, some tea-dyed, others not. There are a variety of non-lacy trims, like rickrack and other braids. The book just seemed to call for a cleaner look to it. Lots of tags and pockets and tuck spots, as well as papers from the Herbarium Collection from Craft Compendium.
