Vintage Arnart Erich Stauffer Lady & Man Figurine Pink Dress good Yellow Roses Matching Hat Polka Dot Scarf Blue Tuxedo Gold Trim Polka Dots 8235

Erich Stauffer seemed to have two styles: Hummel Like Children, and high gloss lady & men figurines. This particular figurine is of the latter category. The lady is in her pink dress with raised yellow roses & gold spaghetti leaves garnishing one side of the dress near the hem. The bodice is snug, but not tight, and features a wide yellow, ribbed collar and bib with a ruffled edge. The bib continues onto the back of the dress, only it is not quite as long. The dress has puffed sleeves. The bodice ruffle, ends of the sleeves and waist all have a fine gold trim. She wears a matching flat hat over her blond hair. The hat has more raised yellow rose buds along the top front. From the top of the hat, there drapes a pink sash with black polka dots. This sash is pulled from the hat to under her chin, where it is tied in a nice bow to prevent the wind from taking the hat away. She holds one arm down to her side with just the tip of her hand touching her dress. The other arm in intertwined with that of the man, and her hand is ready to hold an umbrella or a bouquet of flowers. The man is quite the dapper one!! He wears a smart baby blue, three piece tuxedo suit. The jacket does not have tails, but rather is gathered slightly at the waist in the back to allow for pleats. The jacket has a wide, long lapel. The vest has gold polka dots. He wears a gold bow tie over a white, vertically ribbed shirt. With one arm he steadies his lady. The opposite hand is in the pocket of his coat, and I am wondering if he is fingering the box with a very special ring inside! His suit has gold embellishment throughout, and he wears black shoes. His ample light brown hair is parted down the center. Each of these characters has large, black-lined blue eyes with long black lashes, high arched brows, tiny noses, lightly blushed cheeks, and heart-shaped red lips. They stand together on a white base with a scalloped, gold trimmed edge. He has a pink rose between his feet. A really special piece!

Body Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No cracks or chips. Although she has a hole in her hand good for an umbrella, it is missing. I have exampled how she could hold a simple bouquet, or the umbrella could be replace. Nice soft color and shiny gloss finish.
