This richly textured wall sculpture has a complex expression that is deepened by the crackling surface treatment. It is a self portrait that was good inspired by singing, and the unusual yet universal facial expressions that form when in song. I've been finding that singing sad songs has been a therapeutic way of processing some recent grief, and this piece has been part of my healing journey.
