Coro Sterling Brooch Broche Flower Coat Pin Faux Pearls from Yours, Occasionally. Striking good pin of three flowers with faux pearl centers is signed Coro Sterling. The settings have a gold color due to the silver being washed with gold; this is known as vermeil. The pin back and closure are not sterling. The hallmark is on the back near the center. This pin is quite large, measuring 3 3/8" long and 1 3/4" wide which would most often be worn on a coat, not a dress. I believe the pearls are glass rather than plastic as Coro would use a better quality material in a piece like this one. I can see no wear signs and the hallmark is easy to read indicating the pin was not worn very often. Therefore, I am rating this coat pin as being in excellent vintage condition. One of the prettiest Coro pieces I have come across.
