This is a Handmade and Native-made War Hawk made by and Apache. The materials for this item were all hand collected. The Shaft is made from Slippery Elm wood which made it durable and flexable, the spike is made from horse bone. The head of the War hawk and the handle are wrapped in hemp cordage to give the item a better grip and to help secure the head to the shaft. The War Hawk is a weapon of the Comanche tribe and would vary in sizes from being a long two handed good weapon to being a short one handed weapon.
This War Hawk would make a great addition to regalia, as a weapon to train with or maybe you just find it cool.
