A taste of traditional native design for the Information Age. Obviously, traditional native craftsmen did not create cases for electronic devices (including tablet computers), but they did craft bags, pouches, and cases of almost every size and shape and for almost any set of conditions. These were based on traditions of design and practicality that withstood the test of centuries of daily use.
I have built upon these traditional designs and techniques to achieve something that is practical in the modern world, but still has a foot firmly planted in the design and sensibilities of a much older and traditional world. I hope this case speaks to you as it does to me.
This leather case has a double layer of foam padding on each side of the tablet and is lined with soft fleece to protect the surface of the device. The outside is constructed of 1.5 ounce leather while the inside is acrylic fleece. The case is held together with imitation sinew.
The case will hold a full-size tablet (such as an iPad or iPad Air). It will also fit other devices of similar or smaller size.
