African Wooden sculpture of a Zulu Woman good carrying a round bowl/basket. A beautifully detailed figure of a woman sculpted in wood, not sure what kind of wood, could be ebony or Iron wood. This carving shows a woman carrying perhaps a bowl, getting ready to serve a meal. The piece has a very nice smooth texture and feels great to the touch. Great care and patience went into this piece as indicated in the fine detail of the hair, dress and face.
This figure is circa 1960's - 70's with a great patina. Not signed, hand carved by a very talented artist, which makes this work one of kind original piece. A great work of art, no two are alike. An excellent piece, for anyone who collects one of a kind sculptural works of art.
