For sale: One of the toughest diving watches good ever made, AMPHIBIA by Vostok. This one is 31J selfwinding w date and rare "KGB" crest dial. Never worn, keeps excellent time in original box. Excellent for collectors, virtually indestructible. Heavy, thick crystal and caseback, big screw in crown. Rotating bezel. 200m+ WR. Msg me for info, bundles, pics. In the 60's the Soviet ministry of defense contracted engineers to design military watches that would outperform anything on the market, using new methods house made. The back case is a plate with wide rubber disc, held in with locking ring instead of a thin gasket, to withstand pressure. The Plexi crystal is more resistant to water under pressure. The crown is on a "wobbly" gear on all Amphibia's to protect the stem and movement from shock damage, and keep threads tight, like a mason jar. Made same to this day. Torture tests all over the net.
