Design is from Scène de rue à Montmartre (Street Scene In Montmartre), a painting by Vincent Van Gogh in 1887. The original painting has been hidden from view in a private collection until just recently and it is now, arguably, the most famous painting in Van Gogh's Montmartre series.
This is similar to version v1, except that the image has a slight yellowish tint. You may have seen this version on BBC.com or Reuters.com.
