A really charming set of porcelain kitchen storage jars with lids. Decorated with a green art nouveau label design, they are very similar to old pharmacy jars.

Each pot has a lid and is labelled in French with different kitchen essentials.

Louis Lourioux was a famous French ceramicist who worked with porcelain. A contemporary of Lalique and Gallé, he was born in 1874 and died in a car accident in 1930. His name lived on for decades in the production of porcelain, passing between owners the factory in Foëcy, France was still manufacturing under his name until the late 1990s.

I am pretty sure these aren't original Art Nouveau, and certain they weren't made by Louis Lourioux himself, they are more likely to have been made in the 1980s or even early 1990s but they have a charming apothecary aesthetic with an Art Nouveau design.

They look really wonderful lined up together on a shelf or dresser and are clean and good practical for use. They would make a marvellous display in any kitchen, especially if you have a farmhouse, vintage or shabby chic theme. They may also be a great prop for any period production.

In EXCELLENT vintage condition. There are only the most minor signs of age, a couple of really tiny nibbles to one or two of the inside lids but no cracks or other damage. Please see all the photos and remember they are around 40 years old, pre-owned and pre-loved.
