I don't recommend eating it gum paste gets to hard and don't taste good keep as a keepsake.

Fondant/Gum paste decorations keep indefinitely if stored properly.
Do not refrigerate or freeze.
Keep in the plastic bag and in an airtight container, and place in a cool dry place, like the cupboard or pantry.
Make sure they are not in direct sunlight as well. Long periods exposed to sunlight will fade the colors.

Please note that these items are extremely fragile and I do my best to pack them well to prevent breakages. I am not responsible for any damage that could happen at the good time of shipping.
