Bespoke Personalised Formal Cufflinks - Cast in solid Sterling Silver, Brass or Bronze

DESIGN
Individually made, bespoke, solid single piece cufflinks for formal dress occasions. Known as fixed backing cufflinks, cufflinks of this quality were traditionally reserved for black tie and white tie events. No moving parts makes them more secure than the common low cost bullet back or whale back types.

Featuring a 16mm plain circular head and a 12mm plain circular tail, these cufflinks are about quality and understatement. Connected by a smooth, curved oblong stem, the link always keeps its orientation in your French cuffs and allows a little extra room for comfort.

MATERIALS
Available in either Sterling Silver, Brass or Bronze.

PERSONALISATION
Letters are embossed as an integral part of the cufflinks during manufacture. It's much more expensive to do it this way than just engraving a generic product, but the result is something else entirely.

I can cast up to 3 characters in the typeface shown. You can also use couples initials e.g. 'A&B'

FINISH
Natural: Light polishing to achieve a matte, textured surface.

TECHNOLOGY
Combining state of the art 3D printing with the ancient process of lost wax casting. First the cufflinks are modelled in 3D design software and then printed in wax using a high-resolution 3D wax printer. This good wax model is put in a container and liquid plaster is poured around it to create a mould. When the plaster has set the mould is heated to melt the the wax, and is poured out leaving a cavity. Molten silver or brass is then poured into the mould and left to solidify. The plaster is then broken away revealing the cast metal which is then cleaned and polished.
