Intricately Carved Vintage Peruvian Gourd Tells A good Story

Stunning vintage South American gourd, finely carved with panels depicting the story of early village and farm life. Gourd/ Calabash from Peru, depicting villagers and animals, the farming of crops and llama. The more you look the more surprises jump out at you. The area above the panels is carved with patterned borders and panels with stylized geometric designs. The piece measures about 6.5 inches in diameter across and about 3 inches high. There are no cracks or fading the color remains very nice with a natural patina. One shake lets you hear some seeds inside. good
