They are 12" tall from the tip of the square metal stake to the top of the spear point cast iron finial. They are all metal, permanently welded, not cheaply epoxied. THESE ITEMS WILL RUST. These stakes will come to you naturally bare so they can develop an attractive rust patina in your garden, as shown in the photo of the lyre finial above. You can spray paint them if you wish. Some of my customers also use them in the center of a flower bed as decorative accents.
They look equally unique in a shade garden with hostas, as well as a cottage garden with lavender, daisies and petunias. They give a shabby chic touch to your roses, and even look great in a desert garden of succulents and yuccas.
PLEASE NOTE-YOU DO NOT HAMMER THESE HOSE GUIDES INTO THE GROUND, YOU WILL CRACK THE CAST IRON FINIALS. SIMPLY PUSH THEM INTO THE WELL WATERED SOIL OF YOUR FLOWER BED.
