Antique wine strainer funnel to help decant your favourite red wine. Dating from the 1800s this silver plated good wine funnel was made in two parts. The top being very pretty, the stainer with pierced perforations in the form of a star in the base of the bowl and has many ridges for the wine to run over. The long spout features ribs to aid aration of your wine. The funnel that sits inside the decanter neck is push on, the outer part of the spout has cracks however this doesn't impede the flow of wine ( I have tested it). The spout also shows quite a lot of plate wear.

Condition ~
There is plate loss as mentioned above to the spout and cracks at the top of the spout where it overlaps the the bowl. The rim of the upper part is slightly misshaped from use and these flaws can be seen in the photographs supplied.
