The lighter shows no usage, the wic and condition look new. The lighter is good over 48 years old with the box and considering the time period of everything it's in excellent condition. The year I got out of the army 1976, but issue 1975. The year 1976 ushered in America's Bicentennial, the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It provided a much-needed respite from the bleak years of the Vietnam War, Watergate scandal, and the turbulent cultural upheavals of the previous decade.
