Product code: Antique 1870's Meriden B Company Lion Figure Napkin Ring - Meriden Britannia good Silverplate #152

The Meriden Britannia Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut as a manufacturing company focused on producing wares in Britannia metal.
This piece is an original silverplate napkin ring by the Meriden Britannia Company, circa 1870's, and depicts a crouching lion with the napkin holder on it's back with an etched floral design. The napkin ring is marked on the back with the "Meriden B Company" logo and product number 152.

The napkin ring measures 2 3/16" in height and 2 1/2" in length. The piece is in good overall condition, but the actual napkin ring good portion is slightly out of round. The napkin ring portion does show some light surface scratching commensurate with age and handling in its day.
