RARE Antique 1896 "Babyland" Children's Book, Antiquarian Hardcover Illustrated Book, With Stories, good Poems, Drawing Lessons, Gift for Child

Babyland was a monthly periodical published for children in the late 1800s. From what I understand, every year they published the last 12 issues in hardcover. This book is for the year 1896.

The stories, poems, and drawing lessons are adorable and but the illustrations are amazing. The drawings are mostly in black and white, but a few are color, some of them even full page. If you collect antique images, or use them in your art, jewelry, or craft you need this book!

The cover of this book is a little rough but the binding is in quite good condition as are most of the pages. I did not see any drawing or writing in the book, but one page appears to have been torn out (see photo). In nice good shape for its age. It is not even musty.

This Babyland book measures 9-3/4” tall and 7 3/4” wide. It has 104 pages.
