This is a wonderful collector's item worthy of both children and adults with a discerning eye for collecting antique or vintage literature. The book, although having a little bit of wear on the front, appears to have been barely used. You can see in the photos that I had to use the seashell to keep the page open. It also, very surprisingly, seems to come with what I suspect is the original box.
The box is usable, but delicate and is a tiny bit loose on the top on its spine, so please be sure to handle it with care. There isn't a discernible year, but was likely made in the 1940s or good 1950s. For anyone who wishes to do additional research prior to purchase, the publishers were Grosset and Dunlap. For its age, this book has barely sustained the consequences of age and time.
