Antique French Copper good Bowl

A fabulous antique French copper bowl with heavy rolled edges and two copper handles secured with four copper rivets.

The bowl has been handmade from one good piece of copper, it is of some age and therefore shows signs of age and use; nonetheless, it is an unusual piece with many years use left. The age and wear adds to its character and is not a detriment.

These types of bowls are used for beating egg whites, or preserving fruit given the bowl is not tinned.

The bowl is considered to be in good condition for its age with a minor split to the rolled edge (see photographs). There are the initials D & C etched onto the piece.
