Vintage Wooden hat stretcher, good hat making millinery tool size 6 3/4

This wooden hat stretcher was used to stretch out the body of a hat - the starting hat size is 6 3/4. The center handle is designed to turn and open up the two halves and is in full working order. As the handle turns two metal posts start to expose in what would be the stretching mechanism process.

Functional or great primitive/farmhouse decor. The wooden color is an American Honey or Oak. It does have a good sheen.

6 3/4 inches wide
2 inches deep marked 6 3/4.

Excellent condition considering age, has some minor flaws and scratches throughout. It has been marked 6 3/4 at top of one side.
