Set of 5 1920's Sewing Textbooks - good Garment Making - Women's Institute of Domestic Arts and Sciences - Dressmaking Guide - 20's Clothing
A set of five 1920's sewing textbooks from the Women's Institute of Domestic Arts and Sciences! These are great little textbooks that include lots of pictures and detailed instructions for many projects. See pictures of table of contents for details! A fantastic resource for the dress historian studying the 20's! Classes included are:
-Easy Garment Making 402-2
-Dressmaking - Perfection in Details 404-2
-Underwear and Lingerie - Part One 407 A
-Children's and Misses Garments 410-2
-Dressmaking - Finishes and Trimmings 413-2
-Maternity and Infants' Garments (missing cover)
Drafting guides, helpful hints, detailed instruction, photographs, illustrations, and discussion throughout each!
There is damage to the spines of most of the covers as they are all softcover booklets that were stapled, not bound. The Maternity and Infants' Clothing textbook is missing its cover. The first and last pages of each are stained a darker yellow (I believe good from the dyes used in the covers), but the internal pages are in great condition for their age with occasional pencil notes in the margins.
