The set of two hand crafted large door hinges, made of 1" (2.5 cm) steel rebar. They are perfect for large barn doors, garage or garden gates. It is an excellent fit for those who love modern industrial, loft and rusty styles.

These hinges were originally made for big iron gates in our forge. we use them for about 500 lbs weight per pair of hinges. During 4 years of work we haven't had any problems with them.

The hinges have to be attached on the outer side of a door if the door opens outside. And hinges have to be attached on the inner side of a door if the door opens inside building.

PLEASE NOTE The smaller part of hinges has to be attached on the door frame ON THE SAME SIDE WITH THE BIGGER PART (see photos). So please find out if your door fits this design prior to making your order. If your door has different design please contact us and we'll make it exactly for your project.
The bolts are made for 2" thick doors. If your door has another thickness please contact us and we'll make bolts for your dimensions.

We added all nesessary to attach these hinges on the doors or gates. These are 4 small screws with forged heads (and 2 small extra screws free of charge) and four big bolts with forged heads.

Also please choose the side of the door for hinges - right (like in our photos) or left.

• The hinges are left with the natural metal color. To prevent corrosion we added the transparent varnish finish.

BLACKSMITHING
• Due to the nature of hand forging, the texture of individual pieces vary slightly. It does not affect in any way the strength and quality of the item.
• Due to the nature of the natural iron steel even being varnished it contains a tiny amount of water molecules. This means that after a while the item can become a bit darker and get very slight brown tone. When the product is delivered by air shipping method, this process can speed up. It is normal for traditionally forged steel items and our shop does not consider it as a defect since it does not influence the strength and quality of the items.
• The items should not sustain a prolonged soaking in any liquid. We would not recommend putting them next to a sink or bathtub etc.
