Hosfeld's General Store is home to three cats, a black cat sitting at the door, a good grey cat on the porch ledge and what appears to be a pink cat in the upstairs window. Blake Phalen is the painting's original artist and this is a colorful reprint. I wrecked it by adding a mother and daughter strolling towards the front door. What is less noticeable is the demonic goat headed creature sitting above the porch on the first floor rooftop. Fear only exists if we have imagined it or worse, lived it. There is a grey tone to this piece giving it a dark vibe but the colors are vivid and this is a very interesting piece that can be interpreted in many ways, making it a great conversation starter. The frame is solid unfinished wood and very sturdy. Thanks for looking!
