Footwear category S3 Requirements:
The S3 work shoes have a water-repellent upper to protect the foot from water and rain. They are also equipped with a protective anti-crushing toecap, anti-slip and anti-shock sole to protect the heel from impacts and unlike the S2 category, an anti-puncture insole to protect the foot from nails and splinters.
Recommended uses:
This type of work shoe is suitable for work carried out in very humid environments, in the presence of hydrocarbons and sharp objects, such as nails and splinters and with the risk of crushing the forefoot. Differences between: Full or First Grain Leather Vs Suede (Split)
A first important distinction: Grain of the skin and Crust of the skin
The grain of the skin is the upper part of the skin of an animal, the skin, initially very thick, is divided into two or more layers; the upper one is precisely what is called "flower", it is the most resistant and precious part of the leather. The underside is called the crust.
However, talking about grain leather in a generic way is wrong, a second important distinction must be made:
Full Grain Leather: Leather whose surface or grain has not been altered in any way, except by removing the hair. Natural marks such as scratches or stretch marks are visible and are in fact considered the signature of fine leather. Only 10-15% of all leather can be finished in this way given the quality that the original leather must have.
Corrected grain: leather whose surface has been corrected or covered through some type of finishing. Once the surface is uniform, it is usually imprinted in a pattern that incorporates the natural grain such as the Madras (or Dollar) print.

Suola in gomma nitrilica in due versioni: una per calzature con lavorazione IDEAL (cucita), ed una per calzature con lavorazione scatolata 'bordo-alto'. Una suola con un'altissima resistenza al calore, chiodabile, antiolio ed antiusura. Una vera garanzia per gli utilizzi più estremi.

Calzature categoria S3 Requisiti:
Le scarpe da lavoro S3 hanno una tomaia idrorepellente per proteggere il piede dall'acqua e dalla pioggia. Inoltre sono dotate di puntale protettivo di sicurezza antischiacciamento, suola antiscivolo e antishock per proteggere il tallone dagli urti e a differenza della categoria S2 una soletta antiperforazione per proteggere il piede da chiodi e schegge.
Utilizzi consigliati:
Questa tipo di scarpa da lavoro è adatta per lavori svolti in ambienti molto umidi, in presenza di idrocarburi e oggetti appuntiti, come chiodi e schegge e con rischio di schiacciamento dell'avampiede. Sono particolarmente indicate per il settore dell'edilizia e carpenteria, nei settori dell'agricoltura, dell'artigianato e per officine meccaniche e aziende del settore della lavorazione del legno.

Differenze fra: Pelle Pieno o Primo Fiore Vs Pelle Scamosciata (Crosta)
Una prima importante distinzione: Fiore della pelle e Crosta della pelle
Il fiore della pelle è la parte superiore della pelle di un'animale, la pelle, inizialmente molto spessa, viene divisa in due o più strati; quello superiore è appunto quello che viene chiamato “fiore”, è la parte più resistente e pregiata della pelle. La parte inferiore è chiamata crosta.
Tuttavia, parlare di fiore della pelle in maniera generica è sbagliato, si deve fare una seconda importante distinzione:
Pelle pieno fiore: pelle la cui superficie o grana non è stata alterata in alcun modo, tranne che per la rimozione del pelo. I segni naturali come graffi o smagliature sono visibili e di fatto sono considerati la firma di una pelle pregiata. Solo il 10-15% di tutta la pelle può essere rifinita in questo modo data la qualità che deve avere il pellame di partenza.
Fiore corretto: pelle la cui superficie è stata corretta o coperta attraverso qualche tipo di rifinizione. Una volta che la superficie è uniforme, solitamente viene impresso in un motivo che riprende la grana naturale come ad esempio la stampa Madras (o Dollaro).
